1 mark for each correct answer:
Denary equivalent: 173 (top row)
Binary number after 2 place left shift: 10110100
Denary equivalent for number after shift: 180
Question 2 (b)
1 mark for each point:
The number should multiply by 4...
...but it gives the wrong answer, because the value is more than 255, the maximum number represented by 8 bits
